"Landing pad is a system premised on community, economy and relation to land."
Landing Pad is a rural housing system for temporary workers cohabiting for 3-6 months in isolated conditions. There have been many housing systems established for the FIFO mining market. They are characterised by flash individual units with mass community facilities. The agricultural housing requirement is characterised by smaller communities, with relatively greater permanence, less affluence and situated on farms owned by house proud farmers. Landing pad is a system premised on community, economy and relation to land.
For Landing Pad, we collaborated with a national labour hire company, venture capitalists and a range of farmers to create a customised system to suit agricultural labour’s needs.
