Cinque is located on Ramsgate Street, in the centre of the Kelvin Grove Urban Village, with views out to Victoria Park to the east. The development is mixed-use combining 6 storeys of serviced apartments with 4 storeys of private residences above. The ground level is dedicated to shared community facilities and reception. The design approach is to orient the building towards the street, taking advantage of the eastern aspect of this long boundary. The intention is to tilt the building as much as possible to the north to enforce a north-eastern aspect for the majority of units, this results in most units facing the street. Services are positioned to the western face, minimising the extent of overlooking between this new development and the Brisbane Housing Company development adjacent this boundary. Levels 2-6 are articulated by individual balconies creating a visual whole, punctuated by coloured glazing panels arranged in a diagonal pattern across the building. These coloured panels serve as a feature of the building, along with the yellow-coloured façade elements on the opposite side of the building. The building achieved a 4-star green star rating, by incorporating a number or sustainable features into the design, including rainwater harvesting for landscape and pool top up, environmentally friendly refrigerant gases to AC, native species for all landscaping, and low emission engineered wood products. Cinque is a vibrant addition to the surrounding streetscape and to the Kelvin Grove Urban Village.
