Sub-Tropical Tower

"The challenge was to design a large multi residential project on the RNA show ground site as an exemplar of sustainable design."

The subtropical tower project is an initiative of the Centre for Subtropical Design at QUT. Justin O’Neill contributed to the structure of the program, presented an opening paper and then participated in the research process.

The challenge was to design a large multi residential project on the RNA show ground site as an exemplar of sustainable design. The project combined a range of passive and mechanical methods linking sustainability with liveability within our subtropical environment.
