BMI Group’s headquarters occupy a beautifully refurbished heritage building in the heart of Newstead.

This project involved a sensitive adaption of the BMI Group’s office at Newstead.

With many of the clients existing furniture/décor being reused in the renovation, it was important to create a space that was sympathetic to the client’s style and also the heritage of the building.

The main foyer has been opened to create a central meeting and recreation space as the hub of the workplace. Open plan offices have been created linking to the 2-storey void running through the building.

Materials and tones are selected to meld with the existing fabrics and emphasise the play of light within the space. Feature lighting is also utilised in an open meeting/lounge space to enhance the space.

The refurbishment was incredibly successful in creating a fresh workspace integrated with the heritage of the building.
