The River Houses are a series of thoughtfully designed high-end riverfront houses at Norman Park.

Situated on a prime riverfront site at Norman Park, the River Houses are designed to fully encapsulate the riverfront lifestyle, whilst still being sympathetic to the existing streetscape and surrounding context. The houses to the street reflect Queensland’s vernacular architecture within the site’s character zoning, whereas the other houses present with a contemporary design. The steeping arrangement of the houses allows river views from all residences. The River Houses provides the opportunity for 4 houses to co-exist with privacy, views and aspect to be maximised. The street front houses are 3 storeys in scale with living to the upper floor. This level allows for expansive northern views and light. The riverfront houses are single storey at street level and step down the hill to the river beyond. The riverfront houses feature pontoons on the river while the upper houses have a volumetric title to protect their views long term. Landscaping has been designed to frame existing trees, which have been protected and maintained. Skylights and voids throughout maximise light while all spaces are designed to take advantage of the site’s aspect to the northeast.
